Changes to Disney World app adds dining plan and room charge functions

The latest update available Tuesday, Aug. 22, 2017 to the My Disney Experience app for Disney World has added three key functions guests have been seeking for a while.

The first one is major. You will now be able to keep track of your Disney Dining plan. There will be a counter and you will be able to see the remaining dining plan meals and snacks on your phone, according to the update information on the app store.

You will no longer need to keep looking at meal receipts to see how many is left. This should help a lot of people better manage their meals and those snacks.

The second one will help you keep track of purchases to your Disney Resort hotel account. The purchases you make with your MagicBand will come up and it will be a running total. Again, you will no longer need to keep track of receipts of all the t-shirts and souvenirs you buy. For the budget conscious, which you need to be when going to Disney World, this is a huge benefit.

The third one is for annual passholders. You will now be able to renew eligible annual passes on the app.

The My Disney Experience is the official Walt Disney World app to make plans and share the information with others.
