Disney unveils 2017 Epcot International Food & Wine Festival merchandise

Merchandise for the 2017 Epcot International For & Wine Festival will give shout-outs to Epcot’s past as the park celebrates its 35th anniversary on October 1.

The festival kicks off Aug.  31 and runs through Nov. 13, 2017. Disney has come up with more than 75 items of merchandise to match the extended 75 days of the festival, according to the Disney Parks Blog.

Everyone’s favorite purple dragon will adorn a good part of the collection. The 1980s looking Figment artwork was inspired by the classic Epcot attraction. Some artwork was combined with another classic attraction – Kitchen Kabaret. (see below)

“During the design phase, we kept referencing the Kitchen Kabaret attraction once located in The Land Pavilion. That food-themed show included the song ‘Veggie Veggie Fruit Fruit,’ which we couldn’t get out of our heads [laughs]. We liked the show’s art style, so we combined it with a stylized Chef Figment. It’s a fun way to salute the heritage of Epcot.” Creative Manager Doug Strayer said.

Figment will even appear on Dooney & Bourke handbags.

Another portion of the merchandise is the The Brews Around the World collection, with new desgins by Disney Creative Group Artist Susan Foy. In additional to eh apparel and drinkware, there is a new stainless steel growler that is going to be availale.

For the first time, there will be an “Eat to the Beat” concert T-shirt. Take a look below at all the merchandise.
