Disney to broadcast grand opening of Shanghai Disneyland on June 16
Disney will broadcast the official grand opening of Shanghai Disneyland on the Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD.

Actress and recording artist Sofia Carson will narrate the half-hour special telecast, which will air June 16, 2016 from 8 to 8:30 p.m. on Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney XD. It will also air on Freeform June 17, 2016 from 10 to 10:30 p.m.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of The Walt Disney Company Bob Iger will be joined by nearly 3,000 guests, including pianist Lang Lang, who will will perform a custom arrangement of “Let It Go,” according to a Disney press release.
Other highlights will include:
China’s television and movie superstar Sun Li will take center stage.
Composer and conductor Tan Dun, known for his movies scores like “Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon” and “Hero,” will lead the Shanghai Symphony with an original composition.
