‘Frozen’ holiday TV special to air in 2017
Disney has the “Frozen” machinery in full swing.
Not only is it planning to open the new Frozen attraction at Epcot and stage a theatrical show at California Adventure this year, it has now added a holiday television special to the calendar for 2017.
The holiday special, which does not yet have a title, will bring back members of the original voice cast, including Kristen Bell, Idina Menzel and Josh Gad. The special will be directed by Kevin Deters and Stevie Wermers-Skelton, who are known for the “Prep & Landing” specials. It will be produced by Roy Conli, who was an Oscar at the helm of “Big Hero 6.”
It will air on Disney’s ABC television network during the 2017 holiday season. Just a few months later, the Frozen musical will bow on Broadway.
