
Haunted Mansion shop at Disney World won’t debut until January
The opening of the new Haunted Mansion shop at the Magic Kingdom reportedly has been pushed back until January — a significant delay from its original pre-Halloween debut.
The ride itself also will be closed briefly, from Dec. 1-Dec. 19, Disney announced this week.
The timing gives rise to rumors that an online photo experience will be added — perhaps a photo or video with you and the ghost that follows you home. That would likely require space in the shop, for those who don’t have a Magic Band.
As previously announced, the Yankee Trader shop in Liberty Square has closed to make way for a Haunted Mansion-themed shop that will showcase a new line of merchandise.
